About Us
Tachyon is the student formula team at Chungbuk National University. We design, build, and test our own open-wheel race car, and we run the entire project as a team. Turning classroom theory into a real vehicle is what defines our work.
What We Do
We develop a car that meets Formula SAE Korea and Formula Student regulations. Team members take ownership across structures, powertrain, aero, chassis, electronics, and operations to gain experience close to real industry workflows.
Beyond manufacturing, we improve the car through testing, data-driven decisions, and continuous iteration of design and performance.
Competition
Formula SAE Korea is an engineering design competition for university teams. Static events cover design review, cost, and business presentation, while dynamic events include acceleration, skidpad, autocross, and endurance.
Every car must pass technical inspection and safety tests before competition. Preparation, teamwork, and execution directly impact results on race day.
